Woody's Motorcycles
Your attitude sucks and I certainly won't be putting my money anywhere near your shop in the future. I'll drive down to Gosford to get bits instead of coming round the corner and I'll make sure I steer anyone else clear thinking of coming near you.
And if you read this Scott, I'm the guy who came in Friday morning wanting tyres changed for the HDR Hills of Moto ride. I phoned 2 days in advance and asked if a) tyres can be changed while we wait and b) if I need to book. I was told waiting would be no problems and I didn't need to book, I even explained I needed them done so we could ride that day.
What we got was your bad attitude and the 'yeah well she doesn't change the tyres does she' line. Well, if in your opinion if 'she' isn't capable of taking calls of this nature how about you answer the phone yourself?
I remember you coming on here and saying it's your dream job. Just so you know, you're not very good at it.

And that is what happens to motorcycle shops...
and the industry wonders why we feel like marching our money elsewhere....
Bad bad stuff Scott, if you had no time, try being civil, it's all about CUSTOMER service, Moto was a customer, and just look at the money he throws into his passion......

Re: Woody's Motorcycles
Menace had asked me to buy a chain and I was prepared to GIVE HIM a 1 ride old X-ring I had at home if he really needed it. Turned out it wasn't needed urgently so it was all good anyway. Another $170 lost right there.
As I complained to the other guys with me (who also said he had a bad attitude), not being able to change the tyres would have been annoying but that's life, it's the whole attitude thing about it that pissed me off.
As I said, I wasn't going to stand there and argue my case with him, I'll just never go there again.

Here,Here Moto well put.
worst customer service I have witnessed in a long time,, The service desk needs to comunicate with front desk if thats who answers the phone,, If i am told I could have it done there and then when i turned up then thats what i would expect or maybe even a small delay or even i will see what I can do for you, not recieve a speel that the bird who took the call doesnt spin tyres,(not our problem champ)so much for looking after fellow riders. disgusting in my eyes, glad I dont need to shop there.

Re: Woody's Motorcycles
i really don't want to get involved in this. but here i go.
i always look at all sides of a story. maybe bike shops are over people going around them to buy stuff online, then asking them for service for it.
if that is the case, maybe scott should explain his position
ok, i'm waiting for the abuse

I'm with you Champo and it's a good point. That's even what I said I thought may have been the problem.
However, as you say, if that's the case just say that and I'll go somewhere else, don't say yes, let people dismantle their bikes and turn up only to say 'no' AND have a bad attitude about it.

Its always good to consider all three sides to the story, champo.
With brick and mortar retailers battling online shops, they won't win by telling their customers to jam it. I could definitely understand if molo wanted it done for free and bitched about having to pay, but to blame a mistake on the admin and not fix things is piss poor.
It goes without saying that if retailers want to survive then they need to be cunning and smart about how they compete - I'd say $30/tyre change if bought elsewhere or free if you bought it here or maybe a frequent spender's reward program where you get credit based on your patronage.
KTM newcastle never offered any real service in my view to the point that the managers couldn't even be arsed taking the 4 steps into the workshop on Friday arvo to check my bike was ready (it was - he said it wasn't) despite me telling them I was going away for the weekend. I used to give them all of my service blindly at the time but loyalty has to work both ways.

Re: Woody's Motorcycles
I rang a local shop for a pilot rear hoop for the Veetwo and I lobbed up 30 minutes later, they put a new one on, replaced the valve, balanced, disposed of the old one (free of charge) and adjusted the chain and lubed it all with less than an hours notice and under an hour on a busy day (shop full of lookiseers. Had time for a quick yarn (the boys out the back and the counter blokes) and all for $20 cheaper than just a straight purchase of a tyre elsewhere (big dealer)... guess I have now 3 bikes shops i will be frequenting...
Nothing should be taken for granted in the customer service arena, to do what they did for me was god old fashioned passion...

Re: Woody's Motorcycles
Poor service is a common thing these days hey ???
Thats why I only shop at the ones that respect my custom and provide a good service ,,,
I have a couple of stores that I steer well clear of for similar reasons, actually I just don`t go anywhere near them at all and warn others away from them too, even two years later
but on the other hand I give most of my $$$ to great stores like SUTTOS & ADV MOTO cause they simply care about my business & that I get the gear I want when I want it !!! Most often matching or beating OS prices too

BUT,,,, YES,,, that is the main one I stay away from after Piss Poor service. 3 Days in a row I might add
